In a worldly ambition,

One can expect the time an effort will bear fruit.

For spiritual ambition, there’s no telling,

When enlightenment will come.

Meditators should continue the practice regardless

The fruit will ripe at the right time,

When all the causes are fully completed

For Dhamma is not an investment,

But a cultivation of spiritual perfection

อาจารย์อัจฉราวดี วงศ์สกล

ความเพียรในทางโลก บุคคลสามารถคาดคะเนว่า

เมื่อลงแรงไป แล้วน่าจะได้รับผลเมื่อไหร่

แต่ความเพียรในทางธรรม ไม่สามารถคะเนได้ว่า

เพียรไปแล้ว จะบรรลุธรรมได้เมื่อไหร่

ผู้ปฏิบัติมีแต่ต้องมีความเพียรอย่างสม่ำเสมอ

แล้วธรรมะจะแสดงผลเมื่อเหตุที่หว่านไว้

บ่มเพาะผลเต็มที่แล้ว เพราะทางธรรมะ

ไม่ใช่การลงทุนแต่เป็นการ
